The Question That Changes Everything
Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” (Matthew 16:15). That question is still the most important one anyone can answer. Who is Jesus? The answers have shaped history, divided families, and transformed lives for two thousand years.
Fully God, Fully Man
This is the central mystery of the Christian faith. Jesus is not a half-god or a prophet who became divine later. He is fully God — “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1) — and fully man — “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). He got tired, hungry, and wept. He also calmed storms, raised the dead, and forgave sins. Only God can do that.
Teacher and Healer
Jesus taught with an authority that stunned people (Matthew 7:28-29). The Sermon on the Mount, the parables, His radical teachings on love and forgiveness — these reshaped human morality. And He backed His words with action: the blind saw, the lame walked, the lepers were cleansed, and the dead were raised. Every miracle was a signpost pointing to who He was.
The Sacrifice and the Risen Lord
Jesus came to “give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). On the cross, He took the weight of humanity’s sin and separation from God. He died — really died. But three days later, the tomb was empty. The resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith: “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile” (1 Corinthians 15:17). But He has been raised, and because He lives, we can live too.
He is not just a teacher to learn from, a healer to seek, or a sacrifice to admire. He is the risen Lord, alive and present, calling you to follow Him today.
